Pawing is the debut album of experimental psych-pop songwriter and electronic musician Polysemy. Pawing has been a work in progress since mid 2014, and began as a simple, aimless recording project started by Dalton Moehnke to explore new sounds. Pawing is the culmination of that adventitious effort.

Track Name: Look Out
When you look up, don't you
see some kind of light?
Track Name: Day By Day
Getting better day by day

Maybe someday
Things will get better

Getting better day by day
Track Name: Peaceful Park (feat. Tidepools)
Did you see that thing over there, I don't know what it was
Do you think we should be scared, I don't know what it was
Do you think that we should run, get up we're leaving now
I think that we should run, get up we're leaving now

What did you want when you came down here?
A peaceful time at a pretty park?
But you know there is something wrong.
You can see it in the corner of your eye.
You might want to run back home.
Time at a pretty park, a peaceful time at a pretty park
Peaceful time at a pretty park
Peaceful time at a pretty park

Run away
Run away
You better run away, you better run away
Before they catch up to
Catch up to you
Run away
Run away
You better run away, you better run away
Before they catch up to
Catch up to you

We ran so far away I'm sure we lost it now.
But now we're so lost I don't know how we'll get back.
Why'd we run so far into the woods cause now we're lost for sure!
Wait whats that? I heard something... Oh no it found us again!

What did you want when you came down here?
A peaceful time at a pretty park?
But you know there is something wrong.
You can see it in the corner of your eye.
You might want to run back home.
Time at a pretty park, a peaceful time at a pretty park
Peaceful time at a pretty park
Peaceful time at a pretty park

Run away
Run away
You better run away, you better run away
Before they catch up to
Catch up to you
Run away
Run away
You better run away, you better run away
Before they catch up to
Catch up to you
Track Name: New Town
As I drive through another new town, I think about who lives here
Do they think that all they are is a picture in your rear view mirror
Can they feel the wind in the sky as my car drives by
can't say that I would know what to do if I suddenly never knew

Landlocked and rolling completely for that I don't know if I'll ever com back
Just want to let myself be free, so I sing about what to be
Singing lalalalala, lalalalala

I can forget to keep an eye out
Suddenly I am in a new town
But I don't let it get me down
Just sing as a song to keep moving on
Singing na nanana na na na na

Don't think I don't know I'm letting you down, just give me some time, I'll come around
Things are getting so hectic for me, life is moving by so fast I can't see
I Just want to drop and be on my own, I wish it could be that easy
I need to roam, I've got to go got to go, days I a dream I can live freely

Landlocked and rolling completely for that I don't know if I'll ever com back
Just want to let myself be free, so I sing about what to be
Singing lalalalala, lalalalala

I can forget to keep an eye out
Suddenly I am in a new town
But I don't let it get me down
Just sing as a song to keep moving on
Singing na nanana na na na na
Track Name: Sooalene (feat. Patrimony)
Too many onlookers, too many standing by
They all just watched a wreck happen before their eyes

They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay

Some say you might not be the best
But its alright as long as you try
I'm so unclear where I stand in
the race but I don't, don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind

They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay

They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay
They just want to be okay

Some say you might not be the best
But its alright as long as you try
I'm so unclear where I stand in
the race but I don't, don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
I don't mind, I don't mind
Track Name: Nervous Wild Calm
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down

Why do I always try to waste my time
I sure would like a little break from being me

My worries bring me down, I'm wasting all my time
I just want to relax and calm down
"Sometimes you won't work, and that's okay
The world is so pretty, just calm down"

Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Calming down calming down
Track Name: Not Much About
Everyone has something
That makes them afraid
In the moment what do you do?
Can you teach me now

Nothing to get up about
Nothing to get up about
Nothing to get up about
Nothing to get up about

Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
We can hang, We chill at my place
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about

Its all just in our heads
Or maybe not?
I don't know but come with me
We'll chase the sparks of something fun

Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
We can hang, We chill at my place
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
Not much to go on about
